Ghost does exist & TV cannot educate us

This week, we learn about mock trial. Sir Mark had prepared many interesting topic for us to discuss in class, and we were divided into group of three. But, one of the team only has two people that is Fatin and Aizat team. As for my team, I had to work with Urus and Hizrie, which is unfortunately for them because I am not good in this debate. I would get very nervous and sweating like I was in the oven or something. Anyway, like it or not, that is my group for the rest of this semester in Critical Literacy class. My group was given the topic “There is no such thing as ghost”. At first, we were exited to do this topic because in our mind, ghost really does exist. I mean everyone knows that. But, after having a discussion with my team mates, we felt that, we had the hardest topic and it’s hard to explain about ghost without putting any Islamic religious in it, as for, we’re not allowed to do so. So we came out with one strategy, which we put some religion taste inside our points but put it as an academic purpose. This is because; we put it as a general knowledge for everyone. Our team is named as Ghost Buster and we challenge Muaz, Azza, and mas group, which I am not sure what their group name is, because they keep changing their group name. The debate is quite slow, and I wasn’t giving my best, because the points are hard for me to elaborate. In the end of this mock trial, our team wins, because ghosts really exist. So, everyone just have to vote for us, even though, Muaz’s team is giving many points. The next topic that had been discussed is about TV can educate us against TV cannot educate us. This topic is very interesting to me because, Adam and Fadli was very good on opening the statement. Melody and Fadli was quite aggressive when debating this topic. But, it is the best debate than the last one. So, in the end, the results is, team that says TV cannot educate us win. This is because, the points that given by Fadli’s group is good and encouraged people to trust them. I rest my case.
