Last time, in Sir Mark let us watch this movie that is titled Animal farm. This movie is merely about the animals and the farmers also have some political issue. There was this farm, that usually being take care by the farmers. This is very pity to the animals because the farmers did not take care of the animal and treat them real bad. The animal need to be feed but, no one would feed them.
In the story, the pigs is the leader of all the animal in the farm. So in my opinion, the writer of the stories is related the pigs to the leader in this world. The way the story being told has many ironies. This is kind of exciting. For me, this story is very deep and hard to explain as if, it would lead to sensitive issue. I did not good in politics, and did not even care about it. So I don’t know how to get to that kind of point. I was Interested in the movie, the pigs put a new rules and change it that is “all animals are equal, but some animal are equal than others”. I really can’t take that statement, like who do they think they are? It is so pathetic and so not professional.
From my point of perspective, I think this movie, has many educate values. I’m not referring to the pigs only but also to the other animals as well. That is, we can’t trust other person to just take control as a leader. In choosing a leader, must know their real backgrounds and not just took it as a yes. As for the pigs which the leader, they should do their work too, and not just treat their citizens like slaves. Even though they are the leader doesn’t mean that they can do whatever they want to do. As a good leader, not only knows how to take care the country, but also listens to their civilian’s needs. The leader should also have to play fair and take care each of their citizens, because it is their jobs. If the leader likes to play dirty, they may survive but not for long, because without the citizens, they are nothing. So, they can’t let themselves trapped in that kind of situation.
As for conclusion, the leader and the civilians need each other. So, the leader should know how to do their job. This story shows everything, that is, even the pigs rule everything, but without any followers, the farm is turn into a disaster. It doesn’t even look like a farm at all, and many animals die in that farm especially the pigs.

Conditional Love and Unconditional Love
There are two types of parent’s love towards their children. Every parent must love their children, but their style of loving their children is different. Whether they using the conditional love or unconditional love. The way of they showed their love is what can differentiate on how the parents educate their children.
For me, I think my parents are using the conditional love. They love me in their own way. They sometimes let me do my decision, but most of the time they choose my path. I am not so sure whether that kind of situation puts them in conditional love group. I say that because, I think, my parents do not want me to be in the wrong path, and only their way is the best. Sometimes I feel like, I need to explore more about myself, but, because of them, I just have to skip my dream which is to travel around the world by myself. That have been my dreams, since I was in secondary school, but I know I won’t able to have the chance.
Next, my parents also did some punishment for me if I do any mistake. Like for instance, when I was in my high school years, I got busted of skipping the class and run away from school. I went to the cyber-cafe with my friends, and I get caught because of that. My parents put me into quarantine period and even told me to quit school. I was so afraid and I persuade my parents to give me a chances. At last they give me one last chances, and I never want to do the same mistake again, well, at least not get busted again.
In my point of view, this kind of way is the right way to do in educate the children nowadays. If using the unconditional love, it won’t make the children learns their mistakes. If says, I had my own children, I would do the conditional love style. I will try to find the things that my children wants, but with condition like for example have good result, best behavior then I will granted their wish, and if they do any mistake, I will do the suitable punishment. There will be a bit of slap on the face but I will make it as what they deserve.

My Daddy is My Hero
My Daddy is the best Daddy in the whole wide world
In the last class with Sir Mark, there’s a debate about this interesting topic that is, my daddy is the best daddy in the whole wide world. It was an interesting topic actually. At first, I can’t stand the topic because both of my friends Azza and Fatin did not have much to talk about their fathers. But they had done a very good job.
In this post, we were asked to write about our daddy. I come from a normal family and for me; my daddy is the best daddy in this whole wide world. He is my hero and also a ‘Super Dad’. No father in this world can compete my dad because he is the best dad, and the only one I had. He is a very responsible, strong, patient, and also a successful man. He takes care of me and my family in his own way. My dad is willing to sacrifice his life for us, and he did such many great things in our life until we all live happily.
When I was young, I come from a poor family, and at that time, my dad and my mum didn’t have a really good job. Their salary is only less than one thousand. My family lives in a small wood house and we all live in suffer that time. But, my dad never gives up on trying. He tries to find new job instead of the job he is in that time. At last he had a new job at Celcom as a normal staff. After work few years, his working skills had made him being promoted until now, he is the Branch Manager in Ampang. He start from the bottom, until he is now at the top and I don’t think everyone can do like what my dad had done. He is very determined, and always put his families first.
Besides that, my dad is the strongest and talented dad in the whole wide world. He can lift heavy things. He can lift the refrigerator, the television, the sofa, and also my mum. He can do many house work and repair stuffs. He can repair all the pipes in the toilet or the sink at our kitchen. My dad can also fix the electrical matters in the house, like the lamp or the air-cond and many more. Then, beside all the fixing and repairing talent, my dad can also play some music instruments like for instant, the guitar, the saxophone, and many more. He can also sing well, but he does not want to enter any contest because my mother will tend to get jealous because of my daddy’s good looks maybe. My dad can also act very well. There’s a few commercials that he act, I can’t remember all of it, but all that I remember is, he act in the smoking commercial, Panadol’s commercial and Dumex’s commercials. In other words, there is no one can challenge my dad. He is the best daddy in the whole wide world and I love him so much.

Ghost does exist & TV cannot educate us
This week, we learn about mock trial. Sir Mark had prepared many interesting topic for us to discuss in class, and we were divided into group of three. But, one of the team only has two people that is Fatin and Aizat team. As for my team, I had to work with Urus and Hizrie, which is unfortunately for them because I am not good in this debate. I would get very nervous and sweating like I was in the oven or something. Anyway, like it or not, that is my group for the rest of this semester in Critical Literacy class. My group was given the topic “There is no such thing as ghost”. At first, we were exited to do this topic because in our mind, ghost really does exist. I mean everyone knows that. But, after having a discussion with my team mates, we felt that, we had the hardest topic and it’s hard to explain about ghost without putting any Islamic religious in it, as for, we’re not allowed to do so. So we came out with one strategy, which we put some religion taste inside our points but put it as an academic purpose. This is because; we put it as a general knowledge for everyone. Our team is named as Ghost Buster and we challenge Muaz, Azza, and mas group, which I am not sure what their group name is, because they keep changing their group name. The debate is quite slow, and I wasn’t giving my best, because the points are hard for me to elaborate. In the end of this mock trial, our team wins, because ghosts really exist. So, everyone just have to vote for us, even though, Muaz’s team is giving many points. The next topic that had been discussed is about TV can educate us against TV cannot educate us. This topic is very interesting to me because, Adam and Fadli was very good on opening the statement. Melody and Fadli was quite aggressive when debating this topic. But, it is the best debate than the last one. So, in the end, the results is, team that says TV cannot educate us win. This is because, the points that given by Fadli’s group is good and encouraged people to trust them. I rest my case.

What is this call regarding?
As for the second clips, Sir Mark showed us another video from the same series that is Curb your Enthusiasm. The clip is about; Larry is making a call to one company, and the secretary in the company pick up the phone. Larry wanted to speak to someone, and then the secretary asks him what is this calling regarding. Larry state that he wants to speak to the person and that person will know why he is calling. But, the secretary still want to know what is the call is all about. I guess Larry wants his conversation is between him and that person.
For me, the secretary is being too busy body and she should ask such many time in knowing other’s business. But I like how Larry handles her. He used the same thing what the secretary did, just to make her realize that it’s not nice to know other’s business when the person did want other people to know it. He asked the secretary to tell him what her last conversation before him is. Then here’s the best part! The secretary answers “that’s none of your business!” then Larry answers back, “exactly!” then he just hang up the phone and continues his work. In the story we all realize that Larry is being pissed off by the secretary. As for the secretary, she should know that it’s not polite to force someone to tell something that is obviously none of her business. It could be a top secret conversation or important information. What she should do is, when the person didn’t want to tell her what the call is regarding, she should just pass to the person that they want to speak with.
Topic: He should not tell what the call is regarding.
Perspective: He should just tell what is the call regarding or just lie to the secretary in order to satisfy her and he can speak to that particular person.
Positioning: He should not tell the secretary because it’s none of her business to know about it and the thing he want to speak with that person has nothing to do with her.

Trick or Treat
Trick or Treat
In Sir Mark last class, he showed us some video clips from the series called Curb your Enthusiasm. In my opinion, this series is for our critical thoughts and to make us think about how a left brained really is. Then we were asked to identify the topic, perspective and positioning from ‘The Rules of 10’.
The first video shows a situation, where at that time it was Halloween, and there’s two girls were at Larry’s house and wanted some candy. But there were like seventeen years old, but refers themselves as a thirteen years old teenagers. The problem occurs because the two girls did not wearing Halloween costume. I don’t understand why they didn’t want to wear any costume and it’s Halloween! Everybody should wear costume. If I were them, even I know I’m too old for trick or treat, I would wear something like a girl with bunny costume or even be like a vampire mistress. At least, a costume, to convincing the adults to gave some candy.
So, back to the story, Larry didn’t want to give them any candy because the girls didn’t wear any costume and because of their age is too old for trick or treat. The girls try to lie to Larry that they actually wearing a costume that is their sister and a teacher, which is not accepted because they were obviously not wearing any Halloween costume. The girl is furious because Larry still didn’t want to give them candy. Larry dislikes their attitude where they were like using Halloween for candies. After that Larry just slammed the door, and making face like he had done something good. Then, the next morning, Larry’s wife realizes their house had been tricked. There were toilet papers all over the trees in their front yard, and their door was paint “bold asshole”.
Topic: He should give the candy to the girls.
Perspective: He didn’t give the candy to the girls because the girls were lying about their age and didn’t wear any costume on Halloween.
Positioning: He should give the candy because it’s Halloween, and they didn’t look too old for trick or treating.

How Superstitions change my life
How Superstitions change my life?
What are superstitions?
It is a kind of belief that cannot be explained by reason or science. I always wondering, why do people believe in such things, and why is superstitions even existed? When it sometimes not logic at all. I know a lot of superstition, because my great grandmother always used it really often so as my mother, my aunt and uncles also my cousins Moreover, we were from Malacca blood, so Malacca people used superstitions like always and it’s their habits on creating superstitions. They love to use it if I had done something that inappropriate.
For instance, when I was young, if I didn’t finish my rice, my mother told me that don’t leave my rice unfinished or else it would cry. At that time I’m actually fall for it, I even cry apologizing to the rice for not finished it. But when I had grown up, I found out it was a lie, there is no such thing like crying rice. So, in my opinion, the reason my mother lied to me about the rice is just because she wants me to finished my meal and not wasting the food that I already ate. Even though I did not really trust superstitions, sometimes there is little superstition I did follow, such as, we cannot lay or sleep after having a meal, or my tummy will bloated, and I did followed it. This is because, it is true and when I did that, my stomach is bloated. So, each time after I finish my meals, I will walk around the house or just sit on the couch waiting about an hour then I can lie down.
Maybe if we see this in a good way, we can find out that superstition is one good way on educating people. Just that sometimes the superstitions can get a little ridiculous and stupid. But it’s actually a way on making a person did not do something inappropriate. As to conclude, everything happens for a reason and people make these superstitions for a reason, not just to have fun.
